Dear HTX,
We have recently seen several community posts suggesting that a “Cocoro” token deployed on Ethereum mainnet may be under consideration for listing. We wish to clarify, respectfully, that the only token holding the legitimate Cocoro intellectual-property rights is the official Cocoro token issued by the Own The Doge community on Base (contract: 0x937a1cFAF0A3d9f5Dc4D0927F72ee5e3e5F82a00; see https://x.com/officialcocoro).
Beyond the legal implications of listing an unauthorised asset, doing so would run counter to the explicit wishes of Atsuko Sato, the owner of Cocoro, Neiro and the late Kabosu (“Doge”, aka the face of dogecoin). In her public statement — https://x.com/kabosumama/status/1898346975680192992 — Ms Sato wrote:
“In the past, anonymous people have used my pets’ likeness to launch tokens.
This time, I have given my blessing to my supportive community at Own The Doge, with whom I have previously worked extensively, to create an official Cocoro token.
It has been deployed on Base with the contract address 0x937a1cFAF0A3d9f5Dc4D0927F72ee5e3e5F82a00.”
For context, your exchange has already helped foster Neiro (@neiro on X), which likewise now operates with exclusive IP rights granted by Ms Sato. We therefore trust you share our commitment to respecting the creators’ directives.
Request
- Please list the authorised Cocoro token on Base; or
- Refrain from listing any Cocoro-named asset until the IP-compliant version can be supported.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
