Hello HTX DAO community,
I’d like to introduce an MVP I recently developed for DAO treasury and grant reporting, built with a strong emphasis on deterministic calculations, transparency, and audit-ready outputs.
As HTX DAO continues to manage community funds, grants, and multisig treasuries, clear, reproducible, and verifiable reporting is essential—not only for operational accuracy, but for building trust among contributors, auditors, and governance participants.
This MVP was designed to provide that level of transparency.
The Problem This MVP Addresses
Many on-chain accounting and analytics tools are optimized for:
-
Dashboards and high-level visual summaries
-
Convenience and speed
-
Exploratory monitoring rather than formal verification
However, when a DAO needs to answer deeper questions such as:
-
Can this report be independently reproduced?
-
Can contributors or auditors verify each figure directly from on-chain data?
-
What exact methodology produced these numbers?
most tools fall short.
Design Philosophy
The core principle of this MVP:
Reports must be fully verifiable, reproducible, and auditable to be trusted.
| Area | Typical Tools | This MVP |
|---|---|---|
| Calculation logic | Black-box or snapshot-based | Fully deterministic and versioned |
| Reproducibility | Best-effort | Guaranteed |
| Methodology transparency | Limited | Explicitly documented |
| Reporting format | Dashboards or CSV | Audit-ready PDF + CSV |
| Traceability | Partial | Every number traceable to a tx hash |
| Evaluation friction | Requires onboarding | Single-address PoC |
How It Works
-
Input any wallet or contract address
(for example, an HTX DAO treasury or grant multisig) -
Generate a PDF and CSV report including:
-
Complete transaction history with UTC timestamps
-
Asset types with inflow/outflow classification
-
USD valuation based on transaction-time pricing (source clearly stated)
-
Calculation methodology version (e.g., Methodology v0.1)
-
-
Every figure in the report is directly traceable to on-chain transactions.
The result is a report that can be reviewed and verified by contributors, auditors, and governance participants.
Why This Matters for HTX DAO
-
Deterministic, audit-ready reporting strengthens trust and accountability
-
Transparent methodology reduces ambiguity in governance discussions and grant reviews
-
Reproducible outputs support contributor confidence and oversight
This MVP is not intended to replace analytics dashboards.
It is designed as a trust and verification layer for DAO treasury reporting.
MVP Overview and Proof of Concept
A detailed overview of the MVP, including sample reports and methodology documentation, is available here:
I’m happy to generate a free proof-of-concept report for any publicly available HTX DAO treasury or grant address, so the output can be evaluated directly.
Seeking Feedback
This post is shared to invite discussion, critique, and real-world validation from the HTX DAO community.
In particular, I’d value feedback from:
-
Contributors managing treasuries or grants
-
Auditors or reviewers involved in DAO financial oversight
-
Anyone interested in deterministic, verifiable, and reproducible reporting
Questions, critiques, and suggestions are very welcome.
Why This Version Fits HTX DAO
-
Focuses on determinism, transparency, and verifiability
-
Aligns with HTX DAO’s governance and community trust principles
-
Offers PoC with minimal friction, encouraging open evaluation
